PAT Testing

Kylefire is pleased to announce that we now offer, PAT testing (Portable Appliance Testing). Our engineer is City & Guilds qualified, allowing us to take the time to carry out small repairs and provide quality service for customers across Harrogate, York and Ripon. We’re also happy to explain what PAT testing is and what your obligations are.

PAT Testing or Portable Appliance Testing is recommended by most insurers and most of the Fire Brigade Services.

At Kylefire we provide Portable Appliance Testing at a time convenient to you and your business, which means minimal disruption and downtime for your office, warehouse or home.

We provide this service at a very reasonable cost and, in addition, if you also have your Emergency Lighting test booked with us at the same time, you may receive a discount.

What is PAT Testing?

Electrical appliances purchased in the UK are safe to use, but all appliances are at risk of deterioration or damage over time, which can pose a hazard in any home or workplace. A portable appliance test (PAT) is a regular check-up, making sure your appliances are in safe working order.

Reporting

As part of best practice, all results of inspection and testing should be collated into a register. This information is then used for employers to put in place a safe frequency of testing based on the failure rates, age and condition of equipment and the environment in which it is used.

Labelling

All appliances and leads which pass inspection and testing are given an identification number. The ID number, retest due date and test engineer details are then placed on the tested unit with a sticker.

Our prices are simple and transparent, with no hidden charges. The price we quote is the price you pay, while any repairs required will be explained and agreed in advance.

Contact us today to book in your PAT testing in York, Rippon or Harrogate and we’ll be happy to help work to meet your schedule.
